The Department of English was instituted in the year 1995 as language Department and in the academic year of 2009-10 it was upgraded as Major Department.
The department ensures in providing soft-skill knowledge and communication knowledge to all students by means of special coaching classes and extra activities. Conferences have been organized every year to mould the students in teaching practice.
In the academic year of 2014-2015, the department organized a National Conference wherein a deeper knowledge of conferences and seminars were inculcated among the students. The department of English strived to be a role model in organizing International Conference for two days under the title PERSPECTIVES OF LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND THEORY on 25.09.2015 & 26.09.2015.Language Lab has been set up in order to upgrade the communication skill among the students and the lively classes has achieved a good result among the students.
