The Eco club of Sri Akilandeswari Women’s College, Wandiwash was inaugurated 19-10-2012 with the objective of generating awareness among young students of the college and also to motivate them to spread the message among the students . Objectives of the Eco club are to create environmental awareness, conservation of water, minimize the use of plastic bags, awareness on health and hygine, avoid water logging . Eco club conducts various events like invited lectures , celebration of special days like population day, Environment day, energy conservation day and other competitions like Quiz, Essay, painting on various environment issues.
